Shades of India Shop This Designer Shades and White, a Shades of India collection, celebrates the luxury of fine cotton and exquisitely finished detail. These are clothes that are comfortable to wear and which breathe elegance and style. Designed by Mandeep Nagi for Shades of India, the basic shapes are drawn from loose fitting European and Indian vintage styles which have been adapted for a contemporary life style. Details have also been added that enhance the sense of hand worked, and of beautifully crafted products. The collection has been completed with hand bags and accessories that are rich in colour and texture. Each one is handmade and draws techniques that have been developed by Shades of India.
Mandeep Nagi, the Chief Designer of Shades of India, has created collections of clothes, bags and accessories under the Shades and White label and under her own name. She is also responsible for Shades of India’s Home collection and for leading a design team for interiors and hospitality. Mandeep did her initial training at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. She has won several Design awards in both India and internationally. In India she was awarded the Design Award for Fabric by Elle Décor, twice.
